On December 4th, 2018, the Joint Monitoring Committee of Romania-Republic of Moldova Joint Operational Programme met in Chisinau in order to discuss the implementation stage of the programme.

The Managing Authority informed the Committee about the progress made in the evaluation of the 241 projects submitted within the calls for proposals launched and further measures were discussed in order to speed up this process.

Furthermore, considering the fact that the European Commission approved for financing four large infrastructure projects, on November 14, 2018, totalising 40.5 million Euro, the Monitoring Committee analysed their status as well as the contracting schedule.

Within the same meeting, the participants analysed the measures taken by the authorities from the Republic of Moldova to fulfill the requirements of the programme regarding the management and control system.
