The European Commission approved, on November 30, 2022, the Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova Programme for the period of 2021-2027.
The programme has an allocation of 77.3 million Euro, non-refundable funds, to which the 10% contribution of the beneficiaries will be added.
The programme will finance projects aimed at modernising the medical system, equipping and modernising schools and other educational institutions, developping tourism in the border area. Projects aimed at strengthening administrative capacity, prevention and preparation for interventions in emergency situations will also receive funding.
The program area covers the counties of Iasi, Vaslui, Botoșani and Galati in Romania and the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova.
