The territorial analysis of Romania-Republic of Moldova Interreg Next Programme is now available for public consultations!
The cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Moldova will continue during the 2021-2027 programming period. The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration from Romania was nominated as Managing Authority (MA) of the future Programme and is taking all necessary steps for the elaboration of the programme. To this purpose, the MA has prepared the Territorial Analysis of the Interreg Next Romania-Republic of Moldova Programme, based on statistical data, preliminary consultations with stakeholders and lessons learned from the previous programming periods.
The document was approved by the Joint Programming Committee, the joint body consisting of both Romanian and Moldovan representatives, in charge with the programming process, and is now available for public consultations here.
Based on the conclusions of the above mentioned preparation process, the following Policy Objectives and Interreg Specific Objectives, as well as their corresponding specific objectives and actions have been selected:
Policy Objective 2 - A greener, low-carbon transitioning towards a net zero carbon economy and resilient Europe by promoting clean and fair energy transition, green and blue investment, the circular economy, climate change mitigation and adaptation, risk prevention and management, and sustainable urban mobility
(i)Promoting energy efficiency measures and reducing green-house gas emissions
(iv)Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention and resilience, taking into account eco-system based approaches
(v)Promoting access to water and sustainable water management
(vi)Promoting the transition to a circular and resource efficient economy
(vi) Enhancing protection and preservation of nature biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution.
Policy Objective 4 - A more social and inclusive Europe implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights
(ii)Improving equal access to inclusive and quality services in education, training and lifelong learning through developing accessible infrastructure, including by fostering resilience for distance and on-line education and training;
(v)Ensuring equal access to health care and fostering resilience of health systems, including primary care, and promoting the transition from institutional to family-based and community- based care;
(vi)Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation.
Interreg Specific Objective 1 - A better cooperation governance
a) Enhance the institutional capacity of public authorities, in particular those mandated to manage a specific territory and of stakeholders;
b) enhance efficient public administration by promoting legal and administrative cooperation and cooperation between citizens, civil society actors and institutions, in particular, with a view to resolving legal and other obstacles in border regions;
c) enhancing institutional capacity of public authorities and stakeholders to implement macro-regional strategies as well as other territorial strategies;
Interreg Specific Objective 2 - A safer and more secure Europe
a) border crossing management and mobility and migration management.
