Ziua Cooperării Europene INTERREG sărbătorită la Bojdeuca „Ion Creangă” din Iași

European Cooperation Day INTERREG Celebrated at Bojdeuca "Ion Creangă" in Iași

Iași, September 21, 2024 – At Bojdeuca "Ion Creangă" in Iași, the Interreg Next Romania-Republic of Moldova Program hosted a special event dedicated to European Cooperation Day INTERREG, where dozens of participants had the chance to enjoy cultural and recreational activities that highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The event brought together people from various fields eager to celebrate the results and impact of the INTERREG programs in the region. Children, young people, and adults enjoyed a day filled with creative and cultural activities.

The central point of the event was a children's theater play inspired by the stories of Ion Creangă, performed by Teatrul Luceafărul Iași, which captivated the young audience with its educational and interactive messages.

Additionally, participants had the opportunity to take part in creative workshops for children, where the little ones learned through educational games and artistic activities how to collaborate and express their creativity. These workshops provided an opportunity for socializing and learning in a relaxed and friendly setting, encouraging the active involvement of the children in collaborative activities.

The event also featured an interactive exhibition showcasing the successful projects implemented under the Romania-Republic of Moldova Joint Operational Program 2014-2020, offering participants an overview of the impact of these initiatives in local communities. The exhibition highlighted projects from various fields such as citizen safety, healthcare, and the promotion of shared cultural heritage. The stars of the exhibition were created on the spot by the youngest participants, who together built five large puzzle games, resulting in five representative images of cross-border cooperation. The images depicted some of the implemented cross-border projects, including Soroca Fortress in the Republic of Moldova, the ROMD border crossing point between Albița and Leușeni, the George Enescu Memorial House in Botoșani, and the Emergency Reception Unit in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova.

At the end of the day, participants had the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of Bojdeuca "Ion Creangă," restored with financial support from the ENI Romania-Republic of Moldova Program. As a symbol of Romanian cultural heritage, the venue provided an authentic and meaningful context for this event dedicated to European cooperation.
