The Managing Authority for the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova Programme 2021-2027, announces the signing of the first two grant contracts for the projects selected following the call for small-value projects. These projects aim to promote culture and tourism, while also strengthening administrative capacity.
The project "CULTURISE: Culture and Sustainable Tourism for Social Inclusion and Innovation in RMD and RO", with a total budget of 329,779.91 EURO, of which 296,801.91 EURO is the value of the requested grant, is implemented by Community Association Fate (lead beneficiary) and aims to stimulate cross-border cooperation between non-governmental organizations from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, in order to promote cultural heritage and sustainable tourism. The project will promote sustainable tourism in the counties of Iași, Botoșani and Vaslui in Romania, as well as in the districts of Chișinău, Orhei, Soroca and Ungheni in the Republic of Moldova.
The project "Innovative Actions for Enhanced Public Administration and Cross-border Cooperation" with a total value of 265,937.80 EURO, of which the grant requested from the Interreg Programme is 239,344.02 EURO, is implemented by the Association for Sustainable Development "Prut-Danube" Galați. The project seeks to enhance administrative capacity for sustainable development and improve the quality of life in the region by establishing two Resource Centers in Cahul and Tulucești. These centers will serve as support hubs for training in the management of EU-funded projects and the implementation of a Joint Action Plan to strengthen public administration and cross-border cooperation.
