The Monitoring Committee of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova Program approved the standard projects to be financed

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the fourth meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg NEXT Romania - Republic of Moldova Program 2021-2027 took place.

The main purpose of the meeting was to analyze the evaluation report of the projects submitted under the call for standard projects and approve the list of selected projects, as well as the funding allocated. The selected projects address key areas including climate change adaptation, biodiversity, education, health, culture, and border management.

In order to optimize the implementation of the program, the Monitoring Committee approved the financing of all projects, including projects on the reserve list, due to their strong evaluation scores. This approach allows for the contracting of approximately 80% of the program funds in the immediate future.

At the same time, the Monitoring Committee decided on some reallocations of funds within the priorities, which would allow for the best possible absorption at the Program level, as well as on the allocations for the next call for small-value projects. The meeting was attended by representatives of the central, local and regional public authorities in the program area, representatives of the National Authorities of the two states and the European Commission.
